Me to Pavilion^^

Today is probably the first time I went out and only to reach home 8 o'clock sharp.

Today is also the end of my final.

Today is the first time I visited the Pavilion.

Me and Wai Ling went to Pavilion to watch movie because I just needed to go watch movie since my last movie was Ice Age 3. Can you imagine how long was that? Unfortunately there isn't much new nice movies so while we were debating what to watch, we decided on White Out. I actually want to watch Sorority Row but the timing is way off. There is no way we can watch it and WL strongly oppose watching that movie cause its horror/thriller. I don't mind as long there is no ghost. Thank you dear WL for accompanying me although you still have your exam next week.

So we went for lunch in the food court and we ordered 'Mun Yee Mee'. So basically I am self-eating there and of course being me, its delicious. *laughs* This is the part where you are suppose to laugh and not raise your eyebrow. I am just joking. In fact its an honor to have some food named after me, or probably me named after the food. Since its rare that you see people spell Mun Yee directly. Maybe they have but this is my first time seeing it, so you just let me indulge in the 'me-and-noodle-shared-the-same-name' moment. We had a funny moment during lunch, laughing while eating almost like two idiots.

So, blind us after lunch went to the cinema theater and missed Hall 8. Blind us or to be precisely blind me. Even the toilet we have to walk two times to find it. Pavilion is indeed a prestigious place. They even separate the female and male toilet to an extent. Our seat number is A01 and A02 but the first thing we went there is that there is two male seating on our seat and I had to double check my ticket to make sure I did not see wrongly and after those two guy realized they sit wrongly, they quickly trade place but they doesn't know where the seat is although its just right next to us. The older guy even wanted to go out from the cinema and I have to call him back before he actually makes it to the door to explain to him who knows how many times that his seat is next to ours. All settled and White Out begins^^

I don't know whether because its raining (we don't know at that moment) or its the movie that makes the cinema even colder. The venue of the movie is in Antarctica, so yup its all snow, snow and snow. Not to mention cold, cold and cold. Even the spilled water can freeze in merely 3 seconds when the door opened. I saw the temperature listed there is -65 degree Celsius. The only thing that keep on playing inside my mind is 'I never ever want to go to Antarctica!' It's just horrible the weather there. 20 degree with air con for the whole night without blanket to provide warmth, we can feel the coldness. This is negative 65 we are talking about. I have no idea how they film there or actually bath there (as WL keep on pointing out that its impossible XD)

After the movie, its raining heavily. So we walked around while waiting for the rain to stop and browse around the shop. We walked around and look around the bookshop and Oriental furniture and we were saw this tall vase! I am slightly taller than it and while I was browsing around, WL actually peeked into the vase which one pony tail guy said "You wanted to know what's inside?" and I am already laughing there while watching. Then, then we saw this arm chair, originally made in Italy and guess how much it cost.

RM 18,868 or something like that. We were touching the armchair to see how special it is. But since the sales girl keep on following us, we decided to go. WL took a picture of it but since its written no pictures allowed, its better to not post it up. This whole place is so un-logical. There is no way I can understand why the things are so expensive there apart from the super expensive rent, and its on a popular spot and they target rich people. But still, the price is so crazily dear! We two act as if we never see them before, gasping at the prices, pointing out on crystals but they were really pretty. They have snow white and the seven dwarf, Tigger and Pooh, Bambi and some other really pretty ornaments.

After the rain stopped, we decided to take bus but since we wanted some refreshment, we went to Sg.Wang to buy Cup-Bon. And the bus took for 2 hours before reaching house because of the jam, not to mention extra jam due to the rain earlier. After reaching, we bought burgers which WL almost forgot to pay for them and wanted to leave.

Ahh~ It's been such a long time since I enjoyed myself like this. I want to treasure my one week holiday because I am having my internship on November. No more enjoying that time. It will be like pure working life. But I have loads of anime to watch.

Bleach
Kobato.
Kimi ni Todoke
Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Tegami Bachi/Letter Bee
Miracle Train
Shugo Chara Party (still debating whether want to continue watching)
Trinity Blood

Well, I shall go catch up with my 4 episodes of left out anime.

Encounter.

Something funny happened today.

After my second trip from Block C to buy some bread to ease my hunger, I was happily munching my bread while seated at one of the table in Block A when one China girl came over to my table and asks whether she can sit there with me.

Reflexively I replied yes in Mandarin to her while wondering that there are many empty table around me. She started talking Mandarin and I replied back in English that I don't understand. She looked blurred for a moment there and I explained that I am a Malaysian. She got one reaction.

"You are not Chinese? You are not from China?"

"No, I am not China Chinese."

Maybe next time I should put some neon light on my forehead that says "I am not from China...". So we started a conversation with her trying very hard to talk to me in English and I am waiting patiently for her to finish her sentence. She is trying hard, I am impressed. So we started a short conversation and somehow ended with me asking question so that it wouldn't be awkward. Me, stupidly mistaken her as a student asked what is she studying here and she ended up replying me something that doesn't make sense to me until my brain started kicking.

(not exactly the same, but the main point is there)

Me: What are you studying?
CL: Father and mother...pastor, church...sent me.
Me:Oh what church are you from?
CL: ...(no idea what is she talking about) send me here to talk about Jesus.
Me: You are not a student?
CL: No. *silence* Do you only speak English? Malayzi (apparently she says Malaysia or Malay as Malayzi)
Me: I speak Cantonese too.
CL: ....
Me: I know how to speak Cantonese (in Mandarin)
CL: Oh Cantonese (Mandarin) You know how to hear ...(Mandarin)
Me: A little (Mandarin)
CL: You are...from here?
Me: Yes here KL. I am Malaysian.
CL: Your father and mother?
Me: Here too.
CL: Your grandfather and grandmother?
Me: They are not here. They are dead.
CL: Korean?
Me: Ah no.
CL: Japan...?
Me: Ah no. I am pure Malaysian.
CL: Oh! Malayzi?

And the conversation goes on. She told me her name is Juth, which I kept on hearing as Juice. Please don't laugh. She repeated so many times and so did I. I said my name, she told me she is 23 and I told her I am 19. Apparently I must have not look like a 19 because she seems skeptical. How depressing! Then I commented that she look young and she say yes and told me she need to continue working. And I with too much enthusiasm said bye bye.

The funny thing is I thought I established the fact that I am a Malaysian from the very beginning. Maybe she didn't understand what I was saying but I must say I never expected that she doubted my ethnicity. I thought she wanted to know whether I and my parents are from KL or not. When she asked the part about my grandparents I couldn't help wondering why my grandparents too and I guess she didn't hear the part that my grandparents are dead which I repeated twice (not in the convo above).

I was taken aback when she said the word Korean and Japanese which I then finally understood what is she trying to ask. She is trying to figure out where did I get my non-local Chinese face (which is not true. I looked very local-ish!) come from by asking whether my grandparents are Korean or Japanese.

Ahh. I guess its around 10 minutes or more we chatted.

Honeydew Milkshake Expedition

Yesterday's trip to pasar malam is very entertainingly silly.

So, me and WL never failed to visit the night market every Friday just because of the honeydew milkshake that we are addicted with. Yesterday it actually slipped my mind that there is night market and the honeydew milkshake never once crossed my mind until my mum asked me to buy another cup for my dad as well.

Me: *in the progress of SMS-ing with WL*
Mum: Later you buy one more of the 'drink' for your dad also. Let him try.
Me: Hah?
Mum: If you got go with WaiLing to pasar malam.
Me: Oh. You really addicted already!

I think I played a major part in getting my mum addicted to it as well and now along with my dad.

So since I am going to buy 3 (previously intended to buy 4) and WL is going to buy 2. The total will be 5 honeydew milkshake. Being slightly ashamed of our bulk purchasing, I suggested that we call some imaginary friend pretending to order for them as well. That is a pretty good idea actually if we have the guts to pull out that idea without laughing first. When we reached that particular 'Shin Chan' stall, nobody was purchasing at all, and we decided to come back later so it wouldn't be so obvious considering how we never fail to visit every week.

The second trip to the stall, it was still empty! Nobody is drinking milkshake yesterday! So, we walk all the the way back to the beginning of the night market and to the post office and back again from the beginning. Only on our 3rd trip, then WL finally bought them! I was laughing. Meanie me ><

So practically we wouldn't have to be like this if I didn't get my mum addicted to it. Then I would just be buying for myself. She is the main reason we have to go for bulk purchasing(and all honeydew too!). Now I think I would have to purchase for my dad's portion as well if I happens to go to night market again because this time it's my mum's fault for making him addicted to it.

Another bulk purchasing!

Kobato^^

Kobato is out! Another CLAMP work^^ (and don't worry. Not all anime related in this post)

It even mentioned Kohaku from Wish and there's the Usagi mascot from Wish as well. I wonder how they are related. I haven't got the time to read the manga because if am going to start now, I am not going to get any work done.

And actually I do have a lot of things to do, but my procrastination action made it like I am very free. Short semester is not relaxing at all. Assignments queuing up to be completed and final is around the corner, being me as usual, did not manage to get anything productive done. But please don't ask me how I still manage to watch video (only one per day and its not everyday!) but I believe it is one way to rest and not only focus on work. Or in another words, I am giving my self a reason. XD

Did I mention I am re-watching Code Geass? Cause Lelouch is worthy to be admired and I want to indulge more in his genius way of thinking and strategy. Just because smart guy is awesome. And no Wai Ling (just in case you read this), unfortunately I cannot inherit his geniuses. *laughs*

Xiemin said that I haven't been updating blog. Busy but not that busy until I couldn't update. I do have a lot of things to say actually and plan to write it down here but its already written down in my brain, I found myself lazy to write it down here. And blogging isn't just as fun and carefree its used to be because blog is suppose to be a place that I can voice out my opinion but it just isn't it now. Or maybe I need to improve my sense of vocabulary and confused all of you with my bombastic vocabs. I wonder will I able to achieve that? I heard that to improve vocabs, they read dictionary because merely knowing and guessing the words are useless, one have to really grasp the meaning.

*glance at the thick dictionary*

Nah, don't think I can accomplish that.
